Jet Lee Jetson- Brenda It Should Have Been Us

Happy Fourth Of July Reader. I am not going to go on a political tirade like I see some black celebrities doing today about how this holiday is only for a select few, I am just celebrating being alive.

I have four songs complete on the new album and the first song released is “Brenda It Should Have Been Us” a song dedicated to my new muse and Idoru Brenda Song. This will be different then what I did with Raven though. I don’t care if I get a response this time. I know Brenda is in a relationship right now and don’t care. I just want it to be documented that it should have been her I was writing about not Raven.

Make no mistakes, I wrote beautiful music for Raven and some of these tracks I cannot deny the power of love and poetry involved in them. However, if I had a chance to go back and pick someone else I think I would have gotten a better response from Brenda. And I plan on getting her named tattooed on my other cheek to match Raven’s name on my left check.

Brenda is everything Raven is not. She was also a child star but she isn’t caught up in Disney contracts and she isn’t involved with speaking about things that hurt others feelings or racism in any regard. She truly is a beautiful POSITIVE female role model and you can’t always say Raven is positive.

I remember I was at Roger’s State Prison and the TV in the day room would stay on 24 hours. So when everyone was asleep I would wake up and go watch Disney in the wee hours of the morning. It was there I fell for Brenda Song. I wrote a song for her after a early morning marathon of The Suite Life Of Zach And Cody:

“Definition of a rich bitch// London Tipton//”

As time passed I fell back under Raven’s spell but I have always thought about Brenda Song. I have always thought she deserved the same attention I gave Raven. I am not saying I will be writing as many songs about Brenda as I did Raven but I will say that I will express my love for her in different ways like with ink and post on my blog and in my light novel she will be a character. I think she is a better actress than Raven as well. I just can’t see Raven pulling off some of the dope shit I have seen Brenda do like fighting or doing roles that have nothing to do with slapstick humor.

I hope she continues to strive in her career before she settles down so I can continue to be in love with her at this level. My new Idoru.

Good morning reader. I sit in starbucks around the time it opened, I say about 5:45 AM, with an Ice Caramel Macchiato and some blank CDs along with my bookbag. You may be wondering what I am doing up so early, well, I am getting my album covers done today for two of my classic albums Hello Kitty and Raven’s Home, and despite my tendency to be down in the dumps a lot as a partial emo emcee, I am in a great mood.

I have decided to sell autographed copies of these albums via the web before I begin printing copies of my book, Perfect Blue: An Artist Biography, and that is not all. I am about to be in the lab a whole lot more. I just bought a microphone that will be arriving tomorrow and I plan on recording new music with it, A lot of new music that has nothing to do with Raven Symone.

My new album will be called Love Is Over. I think the title fits. Raven and I have a strange relationship on Instagram. I tag her in every post. I know she sees them. I tag her costar Anneliese VanDerPol as well, Anne at one point was liking the post I was making about their new show and the music I was creating. I have spoken to Anne several times via the web and our relationship is dope. In fact here’s a funny sidebar about me and Raven’s best friend.

One day on Twitter she posted that she missed the old Kanye. I replied she shouldn’t judge people with mental health issues. Another “fan” decided he would tell me to leave Anneliese alone and not to put fanbases against each other. Anneliese like his post. I forgot my reply but hours after I made it, in the wee hours of the morning Anneliese told me she loved Kanye’s music and that she was just quoting him from a song. We spoke about hip hop for a couple of comments and it was a cool moment for me.

I know these girls know how I am.

But alas…Love Is Over.

I was raised to love her. She didn’t act gay. She has never played a gay role. She was on posters for young boys. In magazines to be lusted after by teenage boys. She did interviews telling us even if we worked at McDonald’s we had a chance with her. She had boyfriends on her show. Pregnant on a guest appearance on My Wife and Kids. How could she do what she did a few days ago on Instagram?

I know I sound vague but let me explain. I liked to think me and her have an alignment. A connection. I posted about Star Wars one day. Then she did the same day. Mysterious girls that never showed their faces and signed autographs in their stories were in my DM talking about Raven until I had a psychotic episode and embarrassed myself and me and Raven’s relationship on Instagram then the accounts were deleted.

A few days ago she posted about an Interview she did in Variety magazine. I of course looked it up. Now originally in her interview with Oprah Raven still teased all of her male admirers by saying she was bisexual. That she didn’t want to be labeled. A lot of people didn’t know she had said that and accused her of being strictly a lesbian. People don’t research. Just like when she said she was not African American everyone said she said she said she wasn’t black, when she just was anti America. But in this new interview she said she didn’t want to be with men and was strictly a lesiban. The interviewer had to remind her that she said on the view that she didn’t date men and then Raven agreed. Raven also said there was no gay agenda in Hollywood.

My question is this…how can someone that says they want their personal life to be private tell lie after lie or mislead so much and then get angry and block fan comments on all of her social media when people have something to say about her. She says hurtful things about race and sexuality and should be held accountable. She broke my heart. I am not upset though. I am moving on. I am kind of happy she has set me free. Now I am moving on to different topics in my music. Love Is Over.

I remember Sway asking Charles Hamilton if he was going to make music about celebrity girls again and Charles replying he wanted nothing to do with famous women. I now know what the homie meant. So many women in this world and I become obsessed with a “star”. There are better things to talk about than Raven. I am not going to lie though….something about Brenda Song has me in a great mood this morning. I have made several songs about her and have mentioned her in my music before, not nearly as much as Raven but I do have a thing for Brenda.

I can’t be mad at Raven. There is something undeniable about her. As for a gay agenda in Hollywood well, I just heard Lil Nas X came out the closet. I am not homophobic but I have straight pride. I have nothing negative to say about gay people but just like they promote their “pride” I am promoting mine. I don’t think it’s wrong for a man to love a woman and unlike gay people I am promoting “birth” and “life”. I said it best on the Raven’s Home album on “Stay”:

“How can a man feed a child if his breast fake?”

True shit.

I am pro-life. Gays are not. That’s just logic. Wether you like it or not.

How can you go from straight, to bi, to gay though? Raven baby, what do you have going on? I have had enough. Love Is Over.

So what can you expect on this new album? Well, the production plans on being some of the best I have ever been on seeing as how I am downloading nothing but lofi beat tapes and Cloud Trap beats. Lyrically just be ready for some dope shit. I am going to give you some thought provoking shit man. The previous track released like a week ago produced by Charles Hamilton is going to be a bonus track on Forgot I Had Wings. This new album will be a whole new vibe. And I am just going to write until I get it right.

The title also is inspired by a game I am purchasing soon that is one of my favorites. “Catherine” for the PS3 and X-Box 360. It’s about relationships and has a crazy storyline. When you die it says Love is Over. Once again my connection to anime and video games and Japan. The main character in “Catherine” is cheating on his girlfriend so it’s like even more symbolic.
